WATCH: Breathtaking Video of Incredible Underwater World in Waters of Saint Martin
The island of Saint Martin is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been to. Its stunning beaches, lush jungles, vibrant towns, friendly people, and diverse history combine into one of the most unique experiences in the world. Of course, those are all things that are on full display the moment you step foot on the island.
One thing we don’t all get to see as often is that which lines beneath the glimmering blue-green waters of the seas that surround Saint Martin.
In the video below, posted on Facebook by the Saint-Martin (French side) Tourist Bureau, we get an incredible look into the gorgeous scene under the waters surrounding the island of Saint Martin. Uber talented photographer and videographer Agnès Etchegoyen, shot some really amazing footage of the seabed from various locations around the island.
Etchegoyen grew up in Saint-Martin and started diving when she was 12-years-old. “It’s cetacean season right now,” states Etchegoyen. “There are many, many whales. Every time I go out, I see about eight in a day.”
